Description: Certificate III in Beauty Services is suitable if you are working in a salon and you wish to provide core beauty services including manicures and pedicures, nail enhancements, waxing, lash and brow treatments. Also, merchandise, sell products and perform housekeeping duties. It is certainly recommended to people who desire a competent entry level in the beauty industry.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.

Once completed you will be able to provide beauty services including

• Manicure and Pedicure
• Waxing & Tinting
• Acrylic enhancements including refill and rebalance
• Gel enhancements including refill & rebalance
• Nail Art
• Eyelash and Brow Treatment including Perming
• Design & Apply Make Up

Pre requisite: There is no pre requisite for this course.

Delivery & Assessment Context: Training and assessment is conducted both in a friendly classroom setting and a real salon environment. Training might include but is not limited to practical workshop, written work, group discussion, debate and practical work on clients.

It is the practice on real clients that will make your learning experience unique. This not only gives the necessary confidence in a variety of situations, but also will give the possibility to apply, in a practical way, what has been taught in class.

Work placement: As a mandatory part of this course, you will need to participate in workplace training. At the end of the course, you are required to seek work placement for two weeks in a salon of your choice. However the partnership between Melbourne Institute of Nails & Beauty and Odyssey Nails Hair & Beauty, Odyssey Nails, Hollywood Nails, Diamond Nails,  Le Nails and Nails r Us will allow the you to undertake work placement in one of  our salons.

Materials: Learning materials are available on line free of charge or in hard copy for a minimum fee. You will receive all kits necessary.
