Occupation: Make up Artist and retail assistant

Description: Certificate II in Retail Make-up is suitable for people who want pursue a career as formal and wedding make up artist being able to provide a total face makeover including hair or want to work in a salon or store providing general and specialist personal make-up services, demonstrating and selling make-up and retail skin care products, and performing routine salon or store functions.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.

Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements to this qualification.

Once completed you will be able to provide advanced make up services including

• Make up application including bridal
• Ear Piercing (nose piercing)
• Long hair styling techniques
• Hair braiding techniques

Duration: 18 Weeks

Delivery and assessment context:
In house classroom environment with practical sessions. Assessment is mainly conducted by observation in a simulated salon environment. Written learning activities are given to you as well as written test.

Work placement: As a mandatory part of this course, you will need to participate in workplace training in a salon or retail environment of your choice.
